The Date Project operates with a network of approx 2500 volunteers nationwide in almost every major town and city.
Our volunteers include men, women and children, young and old, and muslim and non muslim.
We form small manageable teams for each locality, where the local Lead Volunteer assumes some responsibilities. Each team has its own stock levels from where they will deliver any online orders for their chosen delivery area. The team must collaboratively choose their delivery area by choosing the post codes where they are happy to make deliveries to.
Once this is agreed, these post codes are entered into our website so when orders are placed, the system can determine how they are to be delivered.
One of the major roles our volunteers play is their part in our marketing.
In the period between signing up as volunteers and the stock of date tins arriving (early February), we will promote the tins. Our volunteers are expected to promote these new releases on their social media platforms using the material we will provide.
The team Lead will allocate each volunteer a set number of tins to take to their home. These will be used for online deliveries, and to sell to any friends/family who want to purchase from you.
